Mounting efficiency comparison between “GADI” standard cable glands and “GADI-QUICK” quick-assembly cable glands.
The revolutionary “GADI-QUICK” quick-assembly cable glands and plugs are suitable to be installed in those boards and boxes where the lack of space does not allow the use of tighten tools for the locknuts. Considering that these cable glands do not have any type of thread, the locknuts are not necessary. Only insert and spin it until the wanted tighten is reached.
The mounting efficiency is 75% higher when using the “GADI-QUICK” system, saving time and space, as it is show in the video below.
In the comparison are used a M20 “GADI” standard cable gland and its equivalent of the “GADI-QUICK” system. The display is made in a board with non-threaded holes and both type of cable glands are mounted and tightened with an electric tool.
The available area of the board to make holes is 203,5 cm2. Taking into account the size of the locknuts, we could make 15 holes to insert the standard cable glands. However, in the case of the “GADI-QUICK” cable glands, as they do not need locknuts, in the same area there can be made even 18 holes. The first conclusion we draw is that for the same available area, we can insert more “GADI-QUICK” cable glands than the “GADI” standard ones.
Regarding to the time spent fixing the cable glands, we spend 134 seconds fixing the 15 “GADI” standard cable glands, while fixing the 18 “GADI-QUICK” ones we spend 92 seconds. The second conclusion we draw is that fixing the same quantity of “GADI” standard and “GADI-QUICK” cable glands, the mounting efficiency of the “GADI-QUICK” cable glands is 75% higher than the “GADI” standard ones.
